Obituary for Joyce Byrd (Castle)
Joyce Byrd, age 87, of Clovis, New Mexico, died Saturday, December 11, 2021 in Clovis. She was born September 26, 1934 in Melrose, New Mexico to Thomas Ben and Gladys (Wallis) Castle. She married Robert Gene "Bob" Byrd in Portales, New Mexico on November 30, 1952.
Joyce graduated from Clovis High School in 1952. She lived in the West Camp Community from 1952 until 2006, before moving to Clovis. Joyce was a member of First Baptist Church in Farwell, and where she was also a member of Grace Sunday School Class. She is preceded in death by her husband, Bob in 2008; her parents; and one step-son, David Byrd.
Joyce is survived by her son, Ronald Byrd and his wife, LeAndra of Farwell, Texas; her two sisters, Donna Donahey and her husband, Jack of Texico, New Mexico and Bennie Woods of Portales, New Mexico; her four grandchildren, Chad, Quinn, Clayton and Samantha; and her two great-grandchildren, Mason and MaKenna.
