Julia M. Hurtado, age 78, of Muleshoe, Texas, died Wednesday, August 18, 2021, in Littlefield, Texas. She was born October 24, 1942, in Morley, Colorado to Frank L. and Mary (Madrigal) Sanchez. She married Nick Hurtado in Ribera, New Mexico.
Julia is preceded in death by her husband, Nick Hurtado , her parents, Frank & Mary Sanchez, three grandchildren, Jamie Hurtado, Mark Rodriguez, Blaine Hurtado , one great grandchild Polly Atchison, and two sisters, Lydia Solis and Connie Brocker.
She is survived by her four sons, Paul Hurtado of Trinidad, Colorado, Leroy Hurtado of Muleshoe, Texas, John Hurtado of Muleshoe, Texas and Waldo Anaya of Santa Fe, New Mexico; her five daughters, Debbie Hurtado of Muleshoe, Texas, Bernadette Bradley and her husband, Kent of Muleshoe, Texas, Carolyn Robinson and her husband, Chris of Slaton, Texas, Toni Rae Rojas of Amarillo, Texas and Michelle Pargas of Raton, New Mexico; her two sisters, Mary Padilla and her husband, Max of Ribera, New Mexico and Dora Sanchez of Trinidad, Colorado; her seven brothers, Alex Sanchez and his wife, Mary June of Trinidad, Colorado, Arthur Sanchez and his wife Joan of Trinidad, Colorado, Bobby Sanchez and his wife, Josie of Trinidad, Colorado, Paul Sanchez of Starkville, Colorado, Andy Sanchez of Walsenburg, Colorado, Frank Sanchez and his wife, Ramona of Stewarts Draft, Virginia and David Sanchez and his wife, Teresa of Starkville, Colorado; her nineteen grandchildren; and her forty-nine great-grandchildren.
We Celebrate “ Julia Mary Hurtado”, A mighty Woman of God. A powerful intercessor, a woman of great faith. Faithful, consistent, obedient, strong, steadfast, determined, kind, nurturing, humble & most of all expressing unconditional love to everyone. She knew no stranger. She gave willingly to anyone in need. She was ready to pray for you at any hour. Mom accepted everyone, no matter if you were related or a stranger. We will Miss Her greatly.
