Obituary for Kassie Calhoun (Easley)

901 S Ave C is no longer Kassie Calhoun’s address. Her new address is Gold Street, just past the Pearly Gates, Holy City, New Jerusalem. It’s a mansion so you can’t miss it. Her husband Oran was waiting on the doorstep to meet her.

On August 25th, 2019 Kassie, Mother, wife, aunt, sister, granny, and great granny, our number 1 prayer warrior went home to claim the place God prepared for her.

Kassie’s focus in life was the Lord number one, her family, and all the people she loved. Her family was the 1st jewels in her crown. As grandchildren and great grand children were added to the family tree, Kassie experienced a new kind of love, expanding for each one. She will always be remembered for her smile.
Kassie attended the Olney Church of God as long as she lived there, then Crossroads Church of Nazarene in Farmington NM as long as she was physically able. She was a devoted housewife, raising her four kids plus numerous nieces and nephews. After retiring from Haggar Slacks, Electric Hose, and home health care, she supported her husband, kids and anyone else that needed her.

Kassie is preceded in death by her husband Oran, her parents, sisters and brothers. She is survived by one brother Guy Easley and wife Janice of Topok, AZ, her daughter Irene Tucker and husband Mark of Muleshoe Tx, her son Clifford Calhoun and wife Terri of Olney, Tx, her daughter Brenda Stone and husband Alan of Farmington, NM, her daughter Mae Kane and husband Alan of Stamford, NY. She was a blessed Granny to 13 wonderful grandkids, and even greater 24 great grandkids. She was also blessed to be a blessed Aunt to many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Our family would like to thank our extended family at Farwell Care and Rehab Center in Farwell TX, who provided loving care to our precious Mother.

A Memorial service will be held at Lunn’s Funeral Home in Olney, TX, at 2:00 pm Saturday, August 31st. The family will be available to greet all friends and family immediately following the service at the Olney Civic Center on S Grand 2nd block on the right.
