LaRue Edwards died Wednesday, October 9, 2019 in Littlefield. She was born July 23, 1934 in Amherst, Texas to Arnie and Velma Alice Gregory (Chisholm) Christian. She married Eugene Edwards in Clovis, New Mexico on December 22, 1951.

LaRue worked for several years for Sears in both Littlefield and Muleshoe, and she worked at Central Compress in Sudan. She was an avid reader. LaRue was a very talented artist, cook, and seamstress. She also enjoyed working crossword puzzles. She is preceded in death by her husband, Eugene in 2002; her parents; and one great-grandson, Kaden Edwards.

LaRue is survived by her two sons, Steve Edwards and his wife, Connie of Earth, Texas and Gary Edwards and his wife, Cecie of Earth, Texas; her brother, Edward Gregory of Littlefield, Texas; her five grandchildren, Monty Edwards and his wife, Brandi, Kyle Edwards, Guthry Edwards and his wife, Stephanie, Erik Edwards and his wife, Robbie, and Lisa Provence and her husband, DJ; her eleven great-grandchildren, Mitch Edwards and his wife, Nathalie, Madi Smart and her husband, Logan, Andi Edwards, Slade Edwards, Dylan Provence, Kyndal Provence, Kinley Provence, Gavin Edwards, Porter Edwards, Grace Edwards and Judson Edwards; and one great-great-grandchild, Clementine Edwards.
