Manuel Garcia Sr, what can we say about this wonderful human being? He was a man of few words, but left a lasting impression on each person he met. He made you laugh, and he showed compassion like no other. He set the bar high for his legacy to live up to. He worked his whole life not only to support his family but give them what he thought they deserved. His legacy is sitting in the front row, they are endowed with the compassion and the willingness to provide for one’s family. He gave them the tools to succeed in life and the desire to help others no matter what. “Do what you can for your family,” was his mantra.

Every person he met, he could not help himself but to make them smile and give them a reason to make their day a better one than before he came into their life. Every person he met remembered his name, not because they needed to, but because he enjoyed making them laugh or smile. He left an everlasting impression on every person he met, even until the last day on this earth. The care team at the hospital expressed how they felt humble to have had the experience of witnessing the love he instilled in his family. A love many do not have the opportunity to experience from their children, but Manuel was not like anyone else.

He loved his siblings, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren till the end. He was one to keep things to himself as not to have anyone fuss over him. No matter the situation he always provided for his
children. At the risk of sounding like so many others, he truly gave his all and would take the shirt off his back to give it whomever needed it, even if that also meant him giving his last dollar. He will truly to missed by all that knew him.

He will be reunited with his parents Delores and Romana Garcia, wife Mary Lou Garcia, in-laws Moses and Margarita Rodríguez, and eldest daughter Martha Lou Depoyster, brothers Eliseo Garcia, Andrew Garcia and sister Antonia Leos, granddaughter Kimberly Jackson, and son-in-law Juan Almanza. He is survived by daughters Maggie Almanza of Dimmitt, TX, Marina Bustillos and spouse Melesio of Dimmitt, Tx, Son Manuel Garcia-Coles Jr. and spouse Wade Coles-Garcia of St. Paul, MN, Mark Garcia spouse Norma of Dallas, Tx, Mercedes Gutierrez and spouse Jessie Gutierrez of Del Rio, Tx, Monica Solis ond spouse Joe Solis of Lubbock, Tx, Mirella Williams and spouse Tim Williams of Del Rio, Tx and youngest son Miguel Garcia and spouse Amanda Garcia of Lubbock, Tx. Come With Me
By Rhonda Braswell

God saw you getting tired
And a cure was not to be
So he put his arms around you
And whispered, “Come with Me”
With tearful eyes
We watched you suffer
And saw you fade away,
Although we loved you daily
We could not make you stay.
A golden heart stopped beating,
Hard working hands at rest,
God broke our hearts to prove
He only takes the best.
It’s lonesome here without you,
We miss you more each day,
Life doesn’t seem the same,
Since you’ve gone away.
When days are sad and lonely
And everything goes wrong,
We seem to hear you whisper
‘Cheer up and carry on.’

Each time we see your picture,
You seem to smile and say
‘Don’t cry, I’m in God’s keeping
We’ll meet again someday.’
You never said ‘I’m leaving,
You never said goodbye,
You were gone before we knew it,
And only God knew why.
A million times we cried,
If love alone could have saved you,
You never would have died.
In life we loved you dearly,
In death we love you still,
In our hearts you hold a place,
That no one could ever fill.
It broke our heats to lose you,
But you didn’t go alone,
For part of us went with you,
The day God took you home.
