Obituary for Margaret Buhrman
Margaret Buhrman, age 98 of Muleshoe, TX, died Friday December 17, 2021. She was born March 4, 1923 to J.A. "Art" and Mabel Ryan. She graduated from Muleshoe High School and attended business school.
She married Kline Buhrman on September 10, 1942. They lived and farmed in the YL community. She was a member of the YL Methodist Church and later the First United Methodist Church in Muleshoe. Margaret was a great cook, an excellent seamstress and cross-stitcher. While on the farm she enjoyed keeping a large vegetable garden. As a "city girl" in her golden years she enjoyed reading, but her favorite activity was a challenging game of "80’s" dominoes at the Onieta Wagnon Senior Center.
Margaret was preceded in death by her husband Kline in 2012, her parents, her sister, Virginia Ryan, her son, Rodger Buhrman, and her son-in-law, Miles Welch. Margaret is survived by her son, Curtis Buhrman of Muleshoe, TX, daughter, Marsha Welch of Arlington, TX, daughter-in-law, Peggy Buhrman of Clearwater, KS. Granddaughter Mandy Stockhausen of Celina, TX, and grandson AJ (Amy) Buhrman of Clearwater, KS. Great grandchildren, Ryan and Reid Stockhausen and Wade, Luke, Jake and Tessa Buhrman.
Appreciation and gratitude to Margaret’s son Curtis and to the dear niece, Melba Bratcher and husband Tom who lovingly provided the support and care that allowed her to, as per her goal, remain in her home all of her days. Also a compliment to the Muleshoe Meals on Wheels program for their good meals and friendly delivery drivers.
