Maria Elena Estrada, age 45, of Farwell, Texas, died Friday, June 4, 2021 in Lubbock, Texas. She was born August 14, 1975 in Rio Grande, Zacatecas, Mexico to Ramon and Elena (Ramirez) Castaneda. She married Aurelio Estrada in Rio Grande on December 2, 2001.
Maria loved her kids and being involved in their lives. She loved her husband, and was an excellent cook. Maria never met a stranger. She was a member of San Jose Catholic Church in Texico, New Mexico. She is preceded in death by her father, Ramon.
Maria is survived by her husband, Aurelio; her two sons, Isai Estrada of Farwell, Texas and Uriel Estrada of Farwell, Texas; her mother, Elena Ramirez of Rio Grande, Zacatecas, Mexico; her sister, Maria de Jesus Castaneda of Rio Grande, Zacatecas, Mexico; and her five brothers, Ismael Castaneda of Nashville, Tennessee, Ramon Castaneda Jr., Catarino Castaneda, Jorge Luis Castaneda and Martin Humberto Castaneda, all of Rio Grande, Zacatecas, Mexico.
