Obituary for Maria Anita Martinez (Alvarado)
Maria Martinez, age 61, of Muleshoe, Texas died Monday, July 20, 2020 in Muleshoe. She was born December 21, 1958 in Crystal City, Texas to Blas and Maria (Romo) Alvarado. She married Atanacio "Nacho" Martinez in Muleshoe on September 25, 1998.
Maria loved to garden and to cook. Her specialty was cobblers and banana nut bread. She volunteered in the community, and focused most of her volunteer work at the Senior Citizens Center. She is preceded in death by her husband, Nacho; her father; and two brothers, Guadalupe Romo and Guillermo Limas
Maria is survived by her son, Jesse G. Olivas of Lubbock, Texas; her two daughters, Senaida Olivas of Muleshoe, Texas and Consuelo Mora and her husband, Ezequiel of Lubbock, Texas; her two sisters, Susie Ortiz of Dill City, Oklahoma and Esmeralda Romo of Tulia, Texas; her mother, Maria Alvarado of Muleshoe, Texas; her four brothers, Mauro Limas of Cushing, Oklahoma, Blas Alvarado Jr. of Belton, Missouri, Alvaro Alvarado of Cushing, Oklahoma and Eduardo Alvarado of Muleshoe, Texas; her five grandchildren, Alexander Olivas, Matthew Olivas, Jessica Olivas, Jaiden Olivas and JoBeth Olivas; and her one great-granchild, Adalia Olivas.
