Obituary for Mark Kevin Herriage

With heavy hearts we announce the death of Mark Herriage, 58, who passed from this life before our hearts were ready to let him go.

Mark was born on January 16, 1964, in Odessa, Texas, to Pat and Joyce (Clark) Herriage. For the last 34 years, Mark lived in Morton, Texas, with his wife Debbie Herriage. Although he had many interests throughout his life, he lived and breathed the Oilfield Industry and the lifelong friendships he formed.
Mark is preceded in death by his grandparents, his father Pat Herriage, his mother Joyce Herriage and his brother Jerry Pat Herriage.

Mark is survived by a daughter Summer Herriage, her husband Joey Oglesby and children Jameson Gray and June Fox of Waco, Texas, and nieces: Amber Long of Big Lake, Texas, and Mandy Mimms of Lubbock, Texas. When Mark and Debbie came together in 1993, he acquired a bonus family that included Amanda McKnight of Morton, Texas, LeeAnn Cunningham of Jenks, Oklahoma, Tyson Tyler and Megan Damrell of Levelland, Texas and father-in-law, Tom Taylor of Ruidoso, New Mexico. To date that bonus family has grown to include 5 grand children and 8 great grandchildren: Makenzi, Stanton, Maverick, Stevie, Charlie and Dannie Wethington, Makayli, Matt, Maks, Liam, Olly and Sebastian Krozel, Peyton McKnight and Belinda Vela, Kamryn Tyler, and Makeddi Pugh.

Beyond immediate family, Mark loved spending time with his sister-in-law Jeanne Pugh and wife Karla Winstead, and brother-in-law Robbie Pugh and wife Janet. Along with Debbie, they had lots of adventures that included going to Cowboy games, gambling and sitting on the back porch being entertained by Mark’s stories.
In leu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Mark’s name to an animal shelter of your choice. Mark loved his fur babies, and thought all animals deserved nothing but the best in life.
Per his request there will be no funeral services, but a Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 30, 2022, at 1:00 pm at 106 Tanglewood in Levelland. Please join us for a casual get together, meal and remembrance of a “one of a kind guy”.
