Obituary for Mary Alice Ramm

Mary Alice Ramm, age 87, of Muleshoe, Texas, died Thursday, June 2, 2022, in Farwell, TX. She was born on December 7, 1934, in Happy, Texas, to I.L. Bauer and Linnie Edna (Dollard) Bauer. She married Ernest Ramm in Canyon, Texas, on January 23, 1955.

Mary Alice was a loving mother, wife and homemaker while being actively involved in her church and the community. As an active member of St. John Lutheran Church in Lariat, TX, she served her Lord and shared God’s love as a Sunday school teacher, VBS leader, Braille worker, youth leader and Lutheran Women’s Missionary League officer and member. Known for her beautiful voice, Mary Alice sang at numerous weddings, funerals and civic functions. Throughout the years, she supported her children by being a 4-H leader and PTA officer. Her accomplishments included; Conservation Homemaker by Blackwater-Valley Soil Conservation District in 1968, Outstanding 4-H Leader in 1971 and Woman of the Year. Some of her favorite activities were square-dancing, singing, laughing, crafting and making elaborate Christmas stockings for everyone in the family, 37 total. Mary Alice is preceded in death by her parents and four siblings.

She is survived by her husband Ernest Ramm of Muleshoe, TX; four children, Ruth Owen and husband Billy of Muleshoe, TX; Alta Robertson and husband John of Amarillo, TX; Nancy Davis and husband Lindel (Linnie) of Bells, TX; and Clayton Ramm and wife Tammy of Bowie, TX; eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
