Maxine Corine Rogers, age 85, of Muleshoe, Texas died Sunday, July 26, 2020 at BSA in Amarillo, Texas. She was born December 31, 1934 in Bailey County, Texas to Ralph and Naomi (Owen) Black. She married Clinton Rogers in Muleshoe on August 31, 1954.
Maxine graduated from Muleshoe High School in 1953. She then attended Draughon’s Business College in Plainview, Texas for a year and a half. She was an excellent seamstress and cook, and she loved working in the garden with her flowers. Maxine is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Bill Black and Ronnie Black; and one daughter, Cynthia Burton.
Survivors include her husband, Clinton; her son, Gene Rogers and Laura Stundins of West Des Moines, Iowa; her daughter, Laticia Cunningham and her husband, Richard of Arlington, Nebraska; her son-in-law, Randy Burton of Levelland, Texas; her sister, Karon Murray; her sister-in-law, Mary Jo Black; her brother, Ricky Black; her six grandchildren, Jason Rogers, Christopher Burton, Dustin Burton, Lacie Burton, Craig Foster and Amanda Brazelton; her 12 great-grandchildren; and her 3 great-great-grandchildren.
