Obituary for Nora Stalcup (Davis)
Nora Davis Stalcup, age 76, of Fritch, Texas and formerly of Morton, Texas, died Wednesday, February 15, 2023 in Amarillo, Texas. She was born November 4, 1946 in Morton to Samuel Emmitt and Eula Mae (Keel) Davis. She married Wallace Stalcup in Morton on May 31, 1966.
Nora graduated from high school in Morton in 1965. She was saved in First Missionary Baptist Church at age 11. She worked as the church secretary at First Baptist Church in Morton. Nora was a devoted mother, grandmother and wife. She is preceded in death by a son, Sean in 1983 and her parents.
Nora is survived by her husband, Wallace; her son, Rick Stalcup and his wife, Scarlett of Fritch, Texas; her sister, Wanda Bryant of Dublin, Texas; her three brothers, Sam Davis of Burleson, Texas, Jim Davis of Burleson, Texas and Lee Ray Davis and his wife, Lisa of Burleson, Texas; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be sent to Riverview Baptist Church, marked for Camp Masterson, 500 Old Stinnett Highway, Borger, Texas, 79007.
