Obituary for Olgaline Pruitt
On October 11th, 2020 Olgaline Carrell Pruitt, age 81, of Muleshoe, Texas joined her loving husband, Jarrell Wayne Pruitt, in heaven. Olgaline was born in Alabama City, Alabama on October 19th, 1938 to Thomas William Carrell and Mary Maureenie (Ellis) Carrell.
Olgaline’s father was a traveling tradesman so she lived in several states throughout her life. During her high school years Olgaline lived in Portales, NM with her sister and brother-in-law, James (Jack) and Dean Brooks. There she met her future husband, Jarrell Pruitt. It was love at first sight and they were married later that year on August 30th, 1957 at the Main Street Baptist Church in Muleshoe, TX. They made their forever home in Muleshoe and adopted 2 children, David and Vana. Olgaline worked at Sears Catalog Store as a Data Entry Associate after the kids were in school. Olgaline and Jarrell enjoyed traveling with the family, having ventured from coast to coast in their younger years. Olgaline and Jarrell’s greatest joy came from visiting their children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Olgaline was preceded in death by her husband Jarrell Pruitt, brother Thomas William (TW) Carrell, sister Nola Dean (Carrell) Brooks, and younger brother Clifford James Carrell.
Olgaline is survived by her children, Jarrell David Pruitt (wife, Sheri Sypherd) of Phoenix, Arizona and Vana Pruitt Jones (husband Michael Jones) of Mount Juliet, TN, 2 grandchildren, , Kindra Shgae (Pruitt) Helton – Franklin (husband Wes Franklin) of Littlefield, TX and Brenna Michelle Jones of TN, and 2 great grandchildren, Kinelly Sailor Helton and Jet David Frank Helton of Littlefield, TX.
Visitation is Friday October 16th, 2020 at Ellis Funeral Home in Muleshoe, TX. Family will be there from 4:00 – 6:00 pm.
