Obituary for Pat Dodson (Etheridge)
Pat Dodson died Wednesday, May 1, 2019 in Lubbock, Texas at the age of 78 years, 5 months and 21 days. She was born November 10, 1940 in Mullin, Texas to Royal and Mary (Stephens) Ethridge. She married V.A. Dodson in Post, Texas on November 10, 1958.
Pat was Registered Nurse for 25 years. She was a Cub Scout leader and enjoyed arts and crafts. She was also one of the first Emergency Medical Technicians in Abernathy, Texas. Pat treasured her family, and especially loved being a mother and wife. She attended 16th & D Church of Christ. Pat is preceded in death by her husband, V.A. in 2003; her parents; and two sisters, Yvonne Heatherly and Geraldine Graves.
Pat is survived by her two sons, Rod Dodson and his wife, Laura of Houston, Texas and Jeff Dodson of Dodge City, Kansas; her brother, Daymon Ethridge of Post, Texas; two grandchildren, Josha Gooch and Michaela Grant; and one great-grandchild, Atticus Grant.
The family suggests memorials be sent to the New Mexico Children’s Home, 1356 New Mexico 236, Portales, New Mexico, 88130.
