Obituary for Rhonda Kirkland (Hager)
Rhonda Kirkland, age 62, of Farwell, Texas, died Friday, April 16, 2021 in Lubbock, Texas. She was born August 5, 1958 in Clovis, New Mexico to Albert Garfield and Paula Alexander. She married Duke Kirkland in Farwell on August 30, 1974.
Rhonda loved going to the lake. Her grandkids were her life, and she enjoyed spending time with her family. She is preceded in death by a brother, Albert Garfield, Jr. and a great-grandson, Beau Denniston.
Rhonda is survived by her husband, Duke; her son, Brandon Kirkland of Farwell, Texas; her daughter, Andi Bradley and her husband, Lance of Farwell, Texas; her mother, Paula Winkles of Farwell, Texas; her father, Albert Garfield of Huntington, Oregon; her five sisters, Lanita Swackhammer of Lubbock, Texas, Deanna Lane of Clovis, New Mexico, Kenda Hager of Clovis, New Mexico, Jarrett Winton of Amarillo, Texas and Patricia Johnson of Huntington, Oregon; her two brothers, Ron Garfield of Ontario, Oregon and Jade Winkle of Shallowater, Texas; her six grandchildren, Dillon Kirkland, Daniel Kirkland, Jenna Kirkland, Deavyn Bradley, Jaklyn Bradley and Kamryn Bradley; and her great-grandson, Hagen Kirkland.
Pall bearers for the service will be Dillon Kirkland, Daniel Kirkland, Lazaro Velasquez, Brad Stowers, John Denniston and Brandon Foster. Honorary pall bearer will be Jody Mahaney.
The family suggests memorials be sent to First Baptist Church Kids Camp Fund or the Mission Fund, PO Box 129, Farwell, Texas, 79325.
