Obituary for Richard "Ricky" Piland
Richard "Ricky" Piland, age 57, of Littlefield, Texas, died Wednesday, February 8, 2023 in Lubbock, Texas. He was born June 3, 1965 in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina to Linda Evelyn Moore. He married Tammy Looney in Muleshoe, Texas on April 20, 2017. A private family service will take place at a later date.
Richard was a truck driver for over 20 years. He loved motorcycles and being outdoors. He enjoyed having a huge garden and spending time with friends and family. Richard was also an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. He collected toy model trucks. He loved animals, especially horses and his dog, Lena. He was a member of the Muleshoe Cowboy Fellowship.
Richard is survived by his wife, Tammy; his two sons, Andrew Burnes of Littlefield, Texas and Dakota Burnes and his wife, Ladaslada of Blanco, Texas; and his five grandchildren, Isaiah, Moses, Isaac, Monica and Dakota “Dak”.
The family suggests memorials be sent to Muleshoe Cowboy Fellowship, 710 East American Blvd., Muleshoe, Texas, 79347.
