Robert Lewis Shafer died Friday, August 2, 2019 in Omaha, Nebraska. He was born May 10, 1958 in Littlefield, Texas to Lewis Wayne and Wanda Jean (Whitmire) Shafer. He married Sherrie Ray Reed on June 29, 2007.

Robert was a farmer and also a landscaper. He loved life and treasured time spent with family.

Robert is survived by his wife, Sherrie; his parents, Lewis Wayne and Wanda; his two sons, Kevin Reed and his wife, Krista of Lubbock, Texas and Tyson Reed and his wife, Summer of Lubbock, Texas; his three daughters, Annie Matthews and her husband, Jimmie of Dallas, Texas, Emily Shafer of Lubbock, Texas and Stephanie Reed of Lubbock, Texas; his two sisters, Ellen Shafer Mardis and her husband, Mark of Burnet, Texas and Linda Shafer Rhoads and her husband, Jeff of Lafayette, Louisiana; his eight grandchildren, Raegan, Payton, Presley, Prestyn, Parkyr, Zachary, Kash and Jaxson; his two nephews, Joshua Rhoads and Chase Mardis; and his three nieces, Sarah Mardis Scott, Amy Mardis and Jenna Rhoads Compton.

The family suggests memorials be sent to the Circle Back Baptist Church, Hands and Feet of Jesus Ministry, 1971 FM 298, Sudan, Texas, 79371.
