Obituary for Tommy Gregory
Tommy Gregory, age 76, of Earth, Texas, died Saturday, November 26, 2022 in Lubbock, Texas. He was born August 18, 1946 in Muleshoe, Texas to Carl and Loreta (Truelock) Gregory. He married Alicia Washington in Springlake on August 18, 1967.
Tommy graduated from Springlake-Earth High School, and played football at East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma. He coached for 10 years, and farmed for a few years, before becoming a salesman for John Deere equipment for over 25 years. Tommy loved supporting his children and grandchildren in all of their endeavors, but his greatest accomplishment was being their “Pop”. He was a member of Springlake Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his wife, Alicia; his parents; a sister, Carolyne Stephens; and a brother, Carlton Morrison Gregory.
Tommy is survived by his three daughters, Kim Thetford of Post, Texas, Kaci Miller and her husband, Scott of Earth, Texas and Kealy McDaniel and her husband, Richard of Post, Texas; his four sisters, Dianna Carpenter and her husband, Jerry of Earth, Texas, Linda Short and her husband, Phillip Short of Monet, Missouri, Vicky Sollis and her husband, John of Lubbock, Texas and Peggy Jones and her husband, Brent of Sulphur, Oklahoma; and his seven grandchildren, Jordan Torres and her husband, Joe, Austen Thetford, Taytem Thetford, Reagan Miller, Brittany Chambers and her husband, Lane, Nathan McDaniel and Rylee McDaniel.
