Viola B. Anzaldua, age 89, of Muleshoe, Texas, died Wednesday, December 15, 2022 in Muleshoe. She was born May 4, 1933 in Mercedes, Texas to Santana and Elvira (Garcia) Barrera. She married Elias Noe Anzaldua on April 12, 1953 in Mercedes.
Viola owned and operated a bakery in Muleshoe before she decided to open El Jacalito Tortilla Factory and Viola’s Restaurant. She loved to cook and bake. Viola enjoyed to decorate and throwing parties. She also loved music and to dance. Viola was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Muleshoe. She is preceded in death by her husband, Noe; a son, Alfredo Noe Anzaldua; a daughter, Noelia Rodriguez; and a sister, Andrea Dominguez.
Viola is survived by her son, Roy Anzaldua and his wife, Rosemarie of Muleshoe, Texas; a daughter, Noemi Garza and her husband, Juan of Clovis, New Mexico; her sister, Fidelia DeLaCerda of Mercedes, Texas; her eleven grandchildren; her twenty-six great-grandchildren; and her seven great-great-grandchildren.
