I grew up at Muleshoe Church of Christ where Peggy Dent attended services. When I was very little, Peggy and two other ladies would let me sit with them during the service. I loved listening to them sing and chat, sometimes giggling about silly things. Sitting with Peggy, it was easy to feel grand and special- like you were sitting next to Eleanor Roosevelt. Peggy was kind, but more than that, she exuded faith and wisedom. What a priviledge it was to be included, to be noticed by her and these women of God.
My heart was sad to hear she had passed. A light gone from the world, it felt like one of the best, sincerest parts of my childhood passed with her. But she knows my God, and I know it's a far better place she lives in now.
My sincerest condolences to her family.
