Mary Lena died January 1, 2015 in Littlefield, Texas. She was born November 27, 1923 in Cisco County, Texas to Earnest and Jessie (Ramsey) Parmer. She married Raymon Maxwell in Sudan, Texas on June 14, 1941.

Mary Lena moved from Cisco, Texas to Sudan in 1925. She was a homemaker and her family was extremely important to her. She was a member of the Sudan Church of Christ. Mary Lena was preceded in death by her husband, Raymon, in 1982; her parents;
two brothers, Christy Parmer and Sardis Parmer; and three sisters, Flora Gunn, Jessie Vernell Parmer and Yuvette Gage.

Survivors include, one son, Freddie Maxwell and his wife, Pam of Sudan, Texas; two daughters, Sherilyn Drum of Garland, Texas and Wanda Testerman of Sudan, Texas; a sister, Zexia Wellmaker of Abilene, Texas; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
