Darrell died March 7, 2015 in Littlefield, Texas. He was born February 21, 1940 in Littlefield to Kenneth Sawyer and Gladys Oleta (Smith) Sawyer. He married Twila (Hampton) in Littlefield on June 17, 1960.

Background:

Darrell was a Deacon at the First Baptist Church in Earth. He grew up in Amherst, and moved to Earth in 1952. He farmed for many years. Darrell was also in the trucking business for several years. He helped with 4-H & FFA projects when Cary was growing up. Darrell lived in Earth for 55 years.


Survivors:
He is survived by his wife Twila Sawyer of Earth, Texas, a son Cary Don Sawyer and wife Monica of Lubbock, Texas, 2 sisters Jean McDaniel of Olton, Texas, and Charlotte Smith of Earth, Texas, 1 brother Kenneth Gayle Sawyer of Demming, New Mexico. 2 Grandchildren Ryan Brown and Justin Brown. 5 Great-Grandchildren Brady Brown, Cooper Brown, Boston Brown, Preslee Brown, Ryder Brown.
