Justina died March 11, 2015 in Lubbock, Texas. She was born September 26, 1937 in San Nicolas, San Luis Potosi, Mexico to Nicomedes and Maria Trinidad (Salinas) Perez. She married Domingo Garcia in Littlefield, Texas on January 7, 1956.

Justina moved to the Earth community from Mexico in 1956. She was known for being a great cook. She was a member of St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church in Earth. Justina was preceded in death by her husband, Domingo and her parents.

Survivors include four sons, Eladio Gallegos and his wife, Naomi of Abilene, Texas, Candido Garcia and his wife, Isaura of Lubbock, Texas, Domingo Garcia, Jr. and his wife, Josefina of Keller, Texas and Joe Alfredo Garcia of Earth, Texas; seven daughters, Mary Lou Loredo and her husband, Lorenzo of Dallas, Texas, Florestela Longoria and her husband, Oscar of Earth, Texas, Gloria D. Zamora and her husband, Benjamin of Dallas, Texas, Modesta Melendez and her husband, Antonio of Dallas, Texas, Martina Mendoza and her husband, Miguel of Lubbock, Texas, Delfina Drake of Dallas, Texas and Melissa Ann Garcia of Dallas, Texas; three brothers, Elpidio Perez of Earth, Texas, Richard Salinas of Amarillo, Texas and Johnny Salinas of Earth, Texas; 26 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
