Agustin died April 30, 2015 in Lubbock. He was born September 21, 1961 in Juarez, Mexico to Marcial and Manuela (Ribota) Martinez.

Agustin served in the U.S. Army during Desert Storm. He was a very outgoing, generous person, who would help anyone he could. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Muleshoe. Agustin was preceded in death by his father, Marcial Martinez and a brother, Netito Martinez.

Survivors include three sons, Johnathan Zapata of Amarillo, Texas, Agustin Martinez Jr. of Muleshoe, Texas and Carlos Martinez of Muleshoe, Texas; three daughters, Cassandra Martinez of Muleshoe, Texas, Veronica Martinez of Muleshoe, Texas and Lisa Marie Martinez of Muleshoe, Texas; his mother, Manuela of Muleshoe, Texas; two sisters, Maria Sanchez of Muleshoe, Texas and Olga Belenger of Amarillo, Texas; five brothers, Ramon Martinez of Muleshoe, Texas, Manuel Martinez of Muleshoe, Texas, Martin Martinez of Muleshoe, Texas, Jorge Martinez of Muleshoe, Texas and Miguel Martinez of Muleshoe, Texas; and eleven grandchildren.
