Martha Ann died August 27, 2015 in Littlefield, Texas. She was born April 24, 1931 in Big Spring, Texas to George W. and Verla Corrine (Puckett) Cranford. She married Bobby Jack Markham in Sudan, Texas on February 4, 1951.

Martha Ann moved to Sudan from Brownfield in 1948. She was a member of the 1950 Study Club, the Ruth Sunday School Class, the Painter’s Art Club and Epsilon Sigma Alpha Sorority. She taught art classes for several years and was the owner of Wedjets Red Trunk. Martha Ann worked at the Lamb County Tax Assessor’s Office for 14 years. She was also a member of the First Baptist Church in Sudan. Martha Ann was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Juanita Gracey.

Survivors include her husband, Bobby Jack; her son, Bobby Lee Markham and his wife, Gayle of Estelline, South Dakota; her daughter, Jeania Rene Markham of Salem, Oregon; and two nieces.
