Celso died September 6, 2015 in Clovis, New Mexico. He was born September 16, 1936 in Winters, Texas to Refugia Flores. He married Luisa Rosas in Muleshoe, Texas on November 9, 1958.

Celso moved to Clovis from Muleshoe in 2013. He worked for Muleshoe ISD for 27 years. He loved playing bingo and dominos, and enjoyed dancing. Celso was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Muleshoe. He was preceded in death by his wife, Luisa in 2002, his mother and one brother, Richard Flores Laredo.


Survivors include his son, Robert Gonzales and his wife, Christine of Irving, Texas; a sister, Rebecca Flores Mestas of Santa Maria, California; and one grandson, Robert Gonzales, Jr. of Clovis, New Mexico.
