Sibyl Stout Welch, 89, of Earth, Texas passed away on Friday, September 18, 2015 in Olton, Texas. A Memorial Service for Sibyl and her husband, L.J. Welch, who passed away on March 7, 2015 is scheduled for 2:00 PM, Saturday, September 26, 2015 at First Baptist Church in Earth with Brother Robbie Boyd officiating. Sibyl was born August 16, 1926 in Hardeman County, Texas to Walter and Maude (O’Hair) Stout. She married L.J. Welch in Earth, Texas on August 16, 1946.

Sibyl moved from Quanah, Texas to the Earth community in 1930. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church in Earth. Sibyl is preceded in death by her husband, L.J. Welch, a daughter, Tonnye Welch, her parents, and one sister, Viola Hadaway.

Survivors include her sister, Florence Welch of Earth, Texas, and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family suggests memorials be sent to Earth Memorial Cemetery, PO Box 523, Earth, Texas, 79031.
