Church Service for Jose Alvarez Age 84, formerly of Morton, Texas, is scheduled for 11:00 AM, Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at the First Assembly of God in Morton. Burial will be in Morton Memorial Cemetery. Jose died October 29, 2015 in Levelland. He was born October 15, 1931 in La Mora Mexico to Fernando and Flora (Soto) Alvarez.

Jose moved from Mexico to Morton in 1967. He was a farmer and a member of the First Assembly of God in Morton. He is preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Jovita Enriquez and Carmen Muro; and two brothers, Manuel Alvarez and Jesus Urias.

Survivors include his brother, Antonio Alvarez and numerous nieces and nephews.
