As I (Jerry) was growing, Uncle Alden was dearly loved. We Beaty descendants didn't consider him an uncle-in-law. He was simply Uncle Alden. We were proud that our children and many other Beaty great-grandchildren got to meet him at our Beaty Family Reunion a few year back. They also realized just how good a man he truly was.
