Lawrence Riggins, 88, went to be with his heavenly Father on Saturday, November 14, 2015 in Clovis, New Mexico. Church Services are scheduled for 10:00 AM, Friday, November 20, 2015 at Central Baptist Church in Clovis with Pastor David White officiating. Burial will be in Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Clovis. A family visitation will take place from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM MST on Thursday, November 19, 2015 at Central Baptist Church in Clovis.

Lawrence was born on January 14, 1928 to Hubert and Irene Riggins in Hereford, Texas. His family were cotton farmers and settled in Rule, Texas, where he worked on the family farm. He was later drafted into the U.S. Army and served in World War II as a sergeant. After returning home, he moved to Clovis and worked various farming jobs. He also became a furniture and carpet salesman for 8 years, before starting his Kirby business, where he worked since 1956. Lawrence married the love of his life, Neva Sparks on June 21, 1953 in Clovis. They have been faithful members of Central Baptist Church for many years, where he served as a Sunday school teacher, head usher and Deacon. He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Leo Riggins and Gene Riggins; a sister, Louise Allen; and a granddaughter, Renada Riggins.

Survivors include, his wife, Neva; two daughters, Lori Riggins of Portugal and Darla Blair and her husband, Del of Midlothian, Texas; two sons, Steve Riggins of Roswell, New Mexico and Scott Riggins and his wife, Natalie of Clovis, New Mexico; a brother, Joe Riggins of Haskell, Texas; twelve grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. His grandchildren brought a sparkle to his eyes.
