Memorial Service for Beth Watson, 86, of Muleshoe, Texas, is scheduled for 2:00 PM, Tuesday, January 5, 2015 at Ellis Funeral Home Chapel with Jack Stone of Muleshoe officiating. Burial will be in Muleshoe Memorial Park. Beth died on Monday, December 28, 2015 in Amherst, Texas. She was born January 12, 1929 in Wellington, Texas to S.P. and Dink (Goforth) Phipps. She married Delbert Watson on August 31, 1947 in Maple, Texas

Beth moved from Wellington to Muleshoe in 1930. She was an artist, doll collector and an antique collector. She was also a pilot. Beth was a member of the First Assembly of God in Muleshoe. She is preceded in death by her husband, Delbert in 1998; her parents; a sister, Katherine Phipps; and six brothers, Morris, Paul, Glenn, J.L., Hal and Clark Phipps; and one grandchild.

Survivors include two sons, Tom Watson and his wife, Linda of Muleshoe, Texas and Jim Watson and his wife, Sandy of Arlington, Texas; two sisters, Dorthy Phipps of Los Angeles, California and Margie Richuber of Corpus Christi, Texas; one brother, Norman Phipps of Lewisville, Texas; four grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.
