Graveside Service for Jessie Lee Gladden, 94, of Morton, Texas, is scheduled for 11:00 AM, Thursday, February 4, 2016 at Morton Memorial Cemetery with Brother Rush Coffman of Morton officiating. Jessie died February 1, 2016 in Morton. She was born June 17, 1921 in Clyde, Texas to John Thomas and Emma Isbell (Adams) Prescott. She married Layfayette Parks Gladden in Boerne, Texas on May 8, 1945.

Jessie moved to Morton in 1945. She was a retired food service supervisor for the hospital. She is preceded in death by her husband, Layfayette in 1972; her parents; and her brother, Eldon Harrison Prescott.

Jessie is survived by her two sons, Larry Gladden and his wife, Annette of Prattville, Alabama and Alvin Gladden and his wife, Gail of Muleshoe, Texas; her daughter, Carolyn Rice and her husband, Tom of Morton, Texas; six grandchildren, Denise, JoAnn, Larry Parks, Jayme, Jill and Richard; and five great-grandchildren.
