Bob died March 6, 2016 in Lubbock. He was born February 24, 1933 in Santa Anna, Texas to Jim and Attie (Gray) Donaldson. He married Maxine Beckett in Clovis, New Mexico on September 24, 1956.

Bob moved from Lazbuddie, Texas to Muleshoe in 1956. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He managed grocery stores, and after he retired, he worked as a bus driver for MISD and part time at United Supermarket in Muleshoe. He was an avid coin collector and loved to fish. He also served on the Muleshoe Area Hospital Board and the MAC Committee in Muleshoe. Bob was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his son, Robert Wayne Donaldson; his parents; and four brothers, Billy Wayne, Elvin, Harold and Shorty.

Bob is survived by his wife, Maxine; his son Billy Lane Donaldson and his wife, Terree of Lubbock, Texas; his daughter-in-law, Viki Donaldson of Muleshoe, Texas; his sister, Linda Shannon of Lubbock, Texas; four grandchildren, Brant Donaldson, Brittany Radle, Zachariah Donaldson and McKenzy Donaldson; and six great-grandchildren, Brayden Jesse, Amanda Jesse, Sean Radle, Gabby Radle, Addison Donaldson and Brylee Radle.
