Obituary for Veneta Ann Stephens (Jones)
Memorial Service for Ann Stephens, age 75, of Morton, Texas, is scheduled for 2:00 PM, Thursday, May 26, 2016 at First United Methodist Church of Morton with Rev. Lyndall Fletcher officiating. Ann died Monday, May 23, 2016 in Lubbock. She was born July 9, 1940 in Pottsville, Arkansas to Carl David and Rhea (Speer) Jones. She married Lee Stephens in Lubbock, Texas on September 24, 1988.
Ann was an All State basketball player, she and was a homemaker. She enjoyed bird watching. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Ann is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Charlie Jones.
Survivors include her husband, Lee; her son, Shay Stephens of Spring, Texas; her three daughters, Shani Lyn Perrin of Nipomo, California, Kellee Sides of Lubbock, Texas and Shellee Williams of Memphis, Texas; three sisters, Bertha Daniel of Acuff, Texas, Robbie Davis of Alamo, Texas and Becky Jones of Irving, Texas; two brothers, Fred Jones of Ransom Canyon, Texas and David Jones of Arlington, Texas; eleven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
