Obituary for Ruth Guzman (Gutierrez)
Church Service for Ruth Guzman Age 67, of Muleshoe, Texas, is scheduled for 11:00 AM, Monday, June 27, 2016 at Calvary Baptist Church in Muleshoe with Brother Jeff Coffman of Muleshoe officiating. Burial will be in Bailey County Cemetery. Ruth died Wednesday, June 22, 2016 in Lubbock, Texas. She was born March 12, 1949 in Sebastian, Texas. She married Gregorio M. Guzman Jr. in Olton, Texas on January 21, 1967.
Ruth had lived in the Muleshoe community since 1998. She worked for Muleshoe ISD for many years. She loved her family and especially her grandchildren. Ruth was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Muleshoe. She is preceded in death by her husband, Gregorio in 2007.
Survivors include her four sons, Gregorio Julian Guzman and his wife, Lucy of Mansfield, Texas, Daniel Guzman of Roscoe, Texas, Paul Guzman of San Antonio, Texas and Joseph Guzman of Muleshoe, Texas; her daughter, Elizabeth Ann Chavez and her husband, Joey of Muleshoe, Texas; her mother Eva (Salinas) Contreras; her two sisters, Anita Hall of Collinsville, Mississippi and Rachael Regan of Meredian, Mississippi; her brother, Moses Ramirez of Clovis, New Mexico; eleven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be sent to Calvary Baptist Church, PO Box 378, Muleshoe, Texas, 79347 or Muleshoe Meals on Wheels, 300 South 1st Street, Muleshoe, Texas, 79347.
