Church Service for Billy Joe Lewis Jr., Age 55, of Denton, Texas, is scheduled for 10:00 AM, Saturday, July 2, 2016 at First Assembly of God in Morton with Brent Scoggins officiating.
Burial will be in Morton Memorial Cemetery. Billy Joe died Wednesday, June 29, 2016 in Denton. He was born August 23, 1960 in Levelland, Texas to Billy Joe and Patsy Nell (Singleton) Lewis.

Billy Joe graduated from Kermit High School, Midland College and the University of Texas at Permian Basin. He was a Well Completion Specialist in the oil fields. He loved to cook and play dominoes and cards. Billy Joe is preceded in death by his brother, Samuel Ray Lewis.

Survivors include his two daughters, Amanda Janell Lewis of Ovalo, Texas and Laura Lewis-Davis and her husband, Jarris of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; his parents, Billy Joe and Patsy Lewis of Denton, Texas; his former wives, Kathy Davis, the mother of his children, of Ovalo, Texas and Salvana Lewis of Arlington, Texas; his two sisters, Shonnie Lewis Daniel and her husband, Bruce of The Woodlands, Texas and Patti Lewis Scoggins and her husband, Mike of Katy, Texas; and two grandchildren, Mason Davis and Landon Davis.
