Obituary for Joyce Clements (Pekrul)
Church Service for Joyce Clements Age 91, of Muleshoe, Texas, is scheduled for 11:00 AM, Thursday, October 13, 2016 at First United Methodist Church in Muleshoe with Rev. Mindy McLanahan of Muleshoe officiating. Burial will be in Bailey County Cemetery. Joyce died Monday, October 10, 2016 in Muleshoe. She was born September 5, 1925 in Goltry, Oklahoma to Arthur and Amelia (Jantz) Pekrul. She married Fred Clements in Midland, Texas on June 15, 2002.
Joyce spent most of her working career working in retail at Cobb’s Department Store and Albertson’s Clothing Store in Muleshoe. She assisted decorating for the Junior and Senior Proms and was an active servant at the Senior Citizens Center. “Joyce”, meaning a joyful heart of a servant, adored people and loved engaging in conversation. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Muleshoe and put all of her trust in the Lord. Joyce is preceded in death by her first husband, Roger in 1986 and her parents.
Joyce is survived by her husband, Fred; her son, Gary Albertson and his wife, Sheri of Burnet, Texas; her step-son, Tomme Clements and his wife, Linda of Mt. Vernon, Washington; her two sisters, Virginia Shumate of Lincoln, Nebraska and Fay Pankratz and her husband, Harry of Chouteau, Oklahoma; four grandchildren, Darren Albertson and his wife, Becky, Kristyl Reyna and her husband, Charlie, Patrick Albertson and his wife, Ashley and Bree Albertson; three step-grandchildren, Jeff Clements, Jared Clements and Collin Clements; ten great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and a host of friends.
The family suggests memorials be sent to the Oneita Wagnon Senior Citizens Center,
