Obituary for Boyd Magby
Chapel Service for Boyd Magby Age 85, of Muleshoe, Texas, is scheduled for 11:00 AM, Saturday, December 17, 2016 at Ellis Funeral Home Chapel in Muleshoe with Brother Jack Stone of Muleshoe and Dr. Stacy Conner of Muleshoe officiating. Burial will be in Muleshoe Memorial Park. Boyd died Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at home. He was born October 10, 1931 in Pickens, Oklahoma to Richard and Audrey (Wilson) Magby. He married Wilma Kelton in Muleshoe, Texas on September 6, 1952.
Boyd had lived in the Muleshoe community since 1948. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Boyd was a farmer and rancher for many years. He was a member of the Texas Cattle Feeders Association, the Onieta Wagnon Senior Citizens and was a former Muleshoe State Bank Board of Director. Boyd is preceded in death by his wife, Wilma; a son, Skip Magby; his parents; and a sister, Flo Morris.
Boyd is survived by his son, Rich Magby and his wife, Cindy of Muleshoe, Texas; his three daughters, Starla Zimmerman and her husband, Howard of Muleshoe, Texas, Belinda Zajicek and her husband, David of Snyder, Texas and Tonya Gartin and her husband, Steve of Steamboat, Colorado; his daughter-in-law, Debbie Magby of Muleshoe, Texas; his sister, Irene Morris of Progress, Texas; his brother, Luydoit Magby of Muleshoe, Texas; fifteen grandchildren; and forty-five great-grandchildren.
