Obituary for Corey Evan Moore
Church service for Corey Moore, age 47, of Lubbock, Texas, is scheduled for 2:00 PM, Saturday, February 18, 2017 at Earth United Methodist Church in Earth, Texas with Rev. Charlie Johnson of Seminole, Texas officiating. Burial will be in Earth Memorial Cemetery. Corey died Wednesday, February 15, 2017 in Lubbock, Texas. He was born April 4, 1969 in Carlsbad, New Mexico to Richard and Patty (McGeath) Moore.
Corey moved to Lubbock from Spring, Texas in 2014. He served in the U.S. Navy during Desert Storm. Corey received the Kuwait Liberation Medal, the Southwest Asia Service Medal and the National Defense Service Medal. He was a member of the American Legion. Corey loved playing the guitar. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Corey is survived by his three sons, Joshua Moore of Boston, Massachusetts, Caleb Moore and his wife, Elyse of Spring, Texas and Jared Moore of Spring, Texas; his sister, Kelly Freeman of Lubbock, Texas; his brother, Todd Moore of Earth, Texas; and one granddaughter, Layla Moore.
The family suggests memorials be sent to Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas, 66675-8517.
