Felipa died Sunday, March 12, 2017 in Muleshoe, Texas. She was born February 5, 1938 in Toyahvale, Texas to Gregorio and Maria Cleofas (Contreras) Fuentes. She married Lino Garcia December 5, 1953 in Brogado, Texas.
Felipa enjoyed crossword puzzles, coloring, writing letters to her friends, shopping by mail. She also enjoyed plants and flowers. Felipa was very persistent in keeping up with her friends and families birthdays and anniversaries. She was preceded in death by her parents, one grandson; Jose Francisco Fuentes, and four children.
Survivors include, her husband, Lino Garcia, her sons; Francisco Garcia and wife Iris of Odessa, Texas, Lino Garcia and wife Billie Faye of Crane, Texas, Salomon Garcia and wife Alice of Odessa, Texas, Lucas Garcia of Odessa, Texas, Gregory Garcia and wife Jo Angela of Clovis, New Mexico, Ruben Garcia and wife Lucy of Muleshoe, Texas her daughters; Yolanda Mendoza and husband Beto of Muleshoe, Texas, Anzelma Chacon and husband Javier of Odessa, Texas, Beatrice Padilla of Muleshoe, Texas, Rafaela Valverde and husband Adolfo of Canyon, Texas, Juanita Del Toro and husband Michael of Muleshoe, Texas; a brother, Antonio Fuentes of Loving, New Mexico, thirty three grandchildren, thirty eight great- grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
