"Billy Bob"
Robert “Billy Bob” Sherley died on Friday, October 27, 2017 in Van Buran, Arkansas. He was born in Clovis, New Mexico to William “Bill” and Roberta (Cox) Sherley. He married Kathryn Guerin on December 14, 2002 in Paris, Arkansas.

Billy Bob graduated from TCU with honors, then went on to graduate from the University of Texas, School of Law with honors. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War, and was a JAG officer during his time in the military. Afterwards, Billy Bob practiced law in Ft. Worth, Texas. He was an active cattleman, rancher and farmer in Anna, Texas and Lazbuddie, Texas, and was a partner of Sherley Anderson Grain Elevators. Billy Bob was a proud parent of two wonderful children and three amazing grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Rosamond Elliot.

Billy Bob is survived by his wife, Kathryn; his son, Robert Thad Sherley of Anna, Texas; his daughter, Tasha Elizabeth Escoto and her husband, Adam of McKinney, Texas; and three grandchildren, Adonna Escoto, Asher Escoto and Aleiza Escoto.

It was Billy Bob’s request, that there would not be a funeral or service of any kind. Ellis Funeral Home is planning to bury Mr. Sherley’s body at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at the Lazbuddie Cemetery in Lazbuddie, Texas. Friends, family and loved ones may say a prayer for his spirit and family at that time. The family suggests memorials be sent to the charity of their choice.
