Obituary for Lucas Gene "Luke" Templeton

Lucas Gene "Luke" Templeton
On Tuesday, January 13, 2015, the Lord needed a cowboy, so he called Luke home to be with him. He was born November 5, 1981 in Littlefield, Texas to Donald and Susan (Clayton) Templeton. He graduated from Springlake-Earth High School in 2000. Luke married the love of his life, his rock and best friend, Kacie Lynn Whittle in Amarillo, Texas on June 11, 2005. They spent the first part of their 10 year marriage in Texas, farming and ranching in the Muleshoe area. They were blessed with two beautiful girls, Delanie and Makenah. Luke’s passion for horses, cattle and the outdoors led him and his family to Oklahoma, where they were blessed with two little cowboys, Hayes and Ryder. Growing up, he was a member of the First Baptist Church in Earth. When he moved to the Muleshoe area, Luke attended the Muleshoe Cowboy Fellowship. The cowboy life and being a family man went hand in hand. He enjoyed fishing with the kids, spending time with his family, and loving his wife.

Survivors include, his wife, Kacie; his two sons, Hayes and Ryder; his two daughters, Delanie and Makenah; his parents, Donald and Susan Templeton of Earth, Texas; his grandparents, Helen Templeton of Earth, Texas and Donnie and Mary Clayton of Springlake, Texas; two sisters, Sarah Beerwinkle of Earth, Texas and her children, Sayler, Slade, Sloane and Saige and Morgan Mackie and her husband, Dustin of Spearman, Texas and their children, Candice, Cason and Cash; two brothers, James Templeton and his wife, Leah of Hereford, Texas and J.R. Campos of Lubbock, Texas.
