L.J. Welch, 88, of Earth, Texas passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2015 in Lubbock, Texas. He was born May 29, 1926 in Castro County, Texas to John and Adria (Rhea) Welch. He married Sibyl Stout in Earth, Texas on August 16, 1946.

L.J. was lifetime member of the Earth community and was a farmer. Everyone knew him as a kind man and to be as honest as the day was long. L.J. was preceded in death by his daughter, Tonnye Welch, his parents, his brother, Fred Welch and his sister, Louise Packard.

Survivors include, his wife, Sibyl and numerous nieces and nephews.
