Obituary for A.E. Eugene Redwine

A.E. Eugene  Redwine
Funeral services for Alma Eugene Redwine, 96, of Muleshoe will be at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at the First Baptist Church Muleshoe. Dr. Stacy Conner will be officiating, followed by interment at Muleshoe Memorial Park Cemetery. Eugene passed away on Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at the Runningwater Draw Care Center in Olton, Texas.

A.E. was born in Leslie, Texas on February 5, 1919. He was the son of J.J. and Minnie (Armstrong) Redwine. He is survived by a son, Bobby Redwine of Lazbuddie, Texas and a daughter, Donna Glover and her husband, Jerry Don of Lazbuddie, Texas; grandchildren, Susan Miller and her husband Jonny of New Braunfels, Texas, Sharon Williams and her husband, Chad of Shreveport, Louisiana, Brian Glover and his wife, Shanna of Lazbuddie, Texas, Jarah Redwine of Houston, Texas, Brice Redwine and his wife, Brittney of Lubbock, Texas, Shannon Redwine of College Station, Texas, and Tobin Redwine and his wife, Shanna of Montgomery, Texas; 11 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Bonnie Ashmore of Lubbock, Texas, Edna Snead of Austin, Texas, Billie Rae McCurry of Littlefield, Texas and Homer Redwine of Lubbock, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 75 years, Mildred, on January 16, 2015. He was also preceded in death by his father, J.J. Redwine, his mother, Minnie Redwine, and siblings, Leonard Redwine, J.C. Redwine, Duge Redwine, D.L. Redwine, Burrel Redwine, Jerrel Redwine, Deretha Brooks and Wannell Boatman.

A.E. and Mildred started farming in Ft. Sumner, New Mexico. They moved to Muleshoe, Texas in 1942. In 1950, they moved to Parmer County, purchased land, and lived there until 2012. They enjoyed camping and fishing with their friends. They spent their lives farming and raising registered Polled Hereford Cattle. A.E. was passionate about raising cattle. He entered cattle in fairs and cattle shows. A.E. and Mildred were faithful members of the First Baptist Church in Muleshoe. He was a Baptist Deacon, and served as a school board member at Lazbuddie.

A.E. was a tower of inspiration to his family and friends. He was a devout Christian and loved the Lord. His faith was steadfast, and it persevered in both joyous and troubled times. After a lifetime of agriculture, he taught his family to plant their efforts in the solid foundation of faith and family.
