Obituary for Connie Franks

Connie  Franks
Connie died May 14, 2015 in Littlefield, Texas. He was born February 17, 1939 in Littlefield, Texas to Joseph Calvin and Evlion Mae (Tooley) Franks. He married Sandra Brasher in Clovis, New Mexico on August 26, 1960.

Connie was a life time resident of Lamb County. He graduated from Amherst High School in 1958. He then served in the U.S. Army during the Cuban Crisis until January 3, 1961. Connie farmed for 20 years, before working for Southwestern Public Service until June of 2005. He and his wife, Sandra were foster parents for Smith Lawn Maternity Home from 1968 until 1976. He enjoyed working at Ellis Funeral Home after he retired from the plant. He was a member of the Amherst Church of Christ until 1973, when he moved to Sudan, where he was a member of the Sudan Church of Christ. Connie was preceded in death by a son, Craig, and his parents.

Survivors include, his wife, Sandra; a son, Brad Franks and his wife, Alisa of Lubbock, Texas; a daughter, Holly Crews and her husband, C.W. of Littlefield, Texas; a sister, Reba Limmer and her husband, Craig of Clovis, New Mexico; an uncle, Edwin Franks and his wife, Esther of Marysville, California; four grandchildren, Tiffany, Ashley, Justin and Shelby; and four great-grandchildren, Ty, Eric, Ethan and Mason.
