I had the pleasure of teaching across the hall from Evelyn for seven years. She became a great mentor to me, as well as a wonderful friend. I was able to visit her once while in Ruidoso. Even though her memories of our time together were gone, her bubbling personality was just the same. My condolences to the family as you go through this difficult time.
